Sacramento Self-Help Housing works with households that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. If someone is currently homeless, SSHH can provide shelter resources and long-term housing options. For each new household, a Housing Navigator completes an intake assessment to identify barriers like bad credit, past evictions, and legal concerns. The Housing Navigator will also help assess each client’s potential like income, positive rental history, and personal references. After an intake, the Housing Navigators can provide referrals based on the needs of each household.
