April 30, 2004 - Sacramento Self Help Housing had a press conference and "Bake Sale" to raise funds and awareness about the impending cut in our funding.  Many good people from Salvation Army, Mercy Housing, STEP, and many other organizations came out to support us, buying cookies for exorbitant prices and cheering us on as we told our community: "DON'T CLOSE THE DOOR ON HOUSING" (details including pictures)
