Our clients in Interim Housing come directly from the streets. They move in immediately after meeting with us. They often are in poor health, exhausted, and with little or no income. Our houses are places where they can heal, and begin the work of solving the problems in their lives.
At Sacramento Self-Help Housing, we provide 17 short-term houses, located in areas including Roseville, Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Stockton. In 2015, we provided three to six months of shelter, case management, and housing location services to 275 people. Of these, 65 percent went on to some type of permanent housing.
We collaborate with other dedicated organizations to achieve this success. Our partners include:
- WellSpace Health
- Volunteers of America
- Veterans Resource Center
- The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament
- Elk Grove HART
- Dignity Health
- Sacramento Steps Forward
Together we have helped to break the cycle of homelessness and change the lives of the men, women and children we serve.
